Alice in Metroland
This is about the chapter in my life where I get a new job in a new city and pack up me and the bf and start all over...sometimes it's hilarious, sometimes it's ridiculous...but as always I try to remain entertaining through it all. It's my experience as Alice in Metroland.

Those tests don't lie...
So I'm pregnant!!

For those of you that know me...I'm always afraid of being pregnant...I usually have a lot of stress going on and my monthly visitor is a little late so I pee on a stick and get on with my day. I should own stock in EPT...seriously. But on this fateful day it was positive! We're going to be parents which is super amazing and super frightening all at the same time.
I think I sat in the bathroom for about 20 minutes before I could get a handle on things--I immediately called J and he seemed confused. I chickened out and waited for him to come home.
As soon as he walked in the door I pulled him into the bathroom to show him the results. He looked at me and said "well that's a test you can't fake" (for those of you that don't know you can buy positive result sticks on craigslist--who knew? I may have a new hobby) He smiled, took a deep breath and hugged me. I could feel him shaking.
We had no idea what to do...was it really positive? How far along were we? So we did the only thing we could--take more tests. We went to the local Target and picked up a few and tried them out.
They were all positive too.
So here we are 4 weeks out from the wedding and we're also about 8 months out from being parents---life is a whirlwind.

I'm back...while it's interesting
This is probably my fourth attempt at blogging...I've written about bars and their drinkability, my experiences with boys (or lack there of)--and my search for a good one (p.s. I found one), life in my old office and me being a super emo college undergrad (you should be glad you missed that period...it had lots of lame poetry...while I can't promise I won't write poetry anymore, I can promise not to just rhyme (*clears throat* Justin Bieber)...blue and glue don't make a hit rhyme...
